I have been teaching orchestra for 18 years. I play and teach all instruments in the orchestra.
Why Take Private Lessons?
I know it is a strange time with eLearning and Hybrid models being thrown around in the school setting. We don’t know exactly what will happen in the near future, but that’s ok! Regardless, we should still do things that bring us joy – playing a musical instrument. We know music learning makes a person a more unique, smart, and well-rounded individual.
As we find ourselves isolated in our homes, we use this time to look inward. We find ourselves yearning for things to pass the time. Sure, video games can be fun and TV can make us laugh; but we yearn for things that not only pass the time, but give us rich and rewarding experiences. Playing and bringing life to an instrument fills a home with joy, exploration, and a sense of determination to better oneself. Holding a wooden violin, viola, cello, or bass connects us to simpler times where we are free of the bells and whistles of technology that sometimes rule our lives.

All lessons will be taught online, using technology such as Google Hangouts, etc.

45 Minute Lesson = $60

About Me
I have been teaching orchestra for 18 years at the Middle School level. I play and teach all of the string instruments: violin, voila, cello, and bass. My students play a variety of musical styles from Classical to Jazz and Rock. We learn to read music, learn to play by ear, and experience many other musical traditions.
